<text>
Alex Osborn's previous book, Your Creative Power, was so well received that in its first year the public demand required six printings. Now, in its third year, its readers have so strongly recommended that book to others that it is in its twelfth printing.

Wake Up Your Mind is a work which was suggested to Alex Osborn by a famous editor, who regarded his previous book as the best ever written in its field, and who urged Mr. Osborn to write his newest book as "a public service."

PURPOSE

Wake Up Your Mind aims to help readers achieve greater happiness, for themselves and others, through enlivening their imaginations. The premise is simple and sound. "The more creative we try to be, the more creative we become; and the more creative we are, the more we can get out of life."

Wake Up Your Mind is essentially practical. At birth, says the author, nature endowed nearly all of us with plenty of creative potential. As the years pile up, a comparative few of us grow creatively richer, but most of us grow creatively poorer - mainly because we lose what we don't use.

101 WAYS

Creative imagination - how can we develop it? This question is completely and helpfully answered. More than 101 ways are suggested. For example, little children are alive with creative contagion - how can they help us? Reading, sedentary games, indoor sports, travel, hobbies, the fine arts, word-play, writing - what can we get out of them creatively?

The early chapters tell what, why and how, The later chapters deal with the matter of applying our heightened creativity to the problems of life; to marital problems, child training, home chores, to job and health problems - with mounting happiness and growing character as life attains a true maturity through creative development.
</text>
